It’s 9 am and the clouds are in, the sky is dark, and lightning spreads across the sky. Thunder claps so loud it shakes the house, and rain stars to pound down with thick splattering rain drops. Spring is HERE! The rain makes way for summer as it washes away the dirt left under piles of snow banks, and soaks the soil preparing itself for planting and greenery to grow! Every day the grass is greener and longer, begging for bare feet to walk across it and butterflies to roam above it. The honey bees are preparing their flight to find flowers, and the birds are in the trees singing the tune of spring. Some people truly suffer during this time, for some reason their bodies can’t handle the growth of grasses and different pollens that float around in the air. They can develop sinus symptoms that include runny nose, itchy eyes, and sneezing; which can lead to sinus infections if not handled correctly. During this season it is optimal to have a spoonful of local honey every single day. The honey that is produced locally to you will host the pollen that is needed to help fight off the bodies reaction to what it considers a threat, and what truly is a blessing that comes with the season of Spring!
If you are out in your yard, enjoying the afternoon sun, send a thank you to the one who created it all! And enjoy what Springtime brings! The Farmers Markets are around the corner!! See you outdoors!
